Last year, we fired our "Dealer Service' after a ridiculously high maintenance estimate on one of our vehicles, a 10 year-old Navigator. Took it in to Adams and they fixed it for less than 5% of the dealer estimate! So, we moved our other vehicles (a Lincoln Aviator and a Mercury Mariner) to Adams for all maintenance and repairs. After over a year of experience with Adams, their pricing and quality-of-service has been excellent. However, there have been a couple of instances where they have fallen short; hence the THREE AND One-half STARS instead of FIVE STARS. In one instance, I had to take the vehicle back after expensive front end repairs, because the repair was not fixed to my satisfaction (an annoying front end 'rattle'), and in the second instance, the 'beauty shield' over the engine was removed, and THROWN AWAY!, without my knowledge or consent. After my noticing this, their comment was that "it was worn out and causing the rattle, and doesn't do any good anyway". I just wish they would have let me know beforehand. They said the replacement was $400. As a retired Engineer, I would have repaired the 'beauty shield' myself. I really do not appreciate their doing something like this without my permission. Even with these issues, I will continue with Adams for repairs and maintenance, and will recommend them to others.
